Our Mission
The Mission of the ICDB is to establish a Muslim-American community that will enrich and unify our society through promoting core ideals of Islam: justice, peace, mercy and interfaith relations.
Our History
The Islamic Center of Daytona Beach has a rich and diverse history that spans well over 30 years. As the first Masjid to accommodate a central location for Muslim activities in Volusia County, the ICDB flowered from the hearts of Muslims from various backgrounds including Arab, Asian, African-American, and so many others.

The Original Masjid
Where it all began
The Islamic Center of Daytona Beach traces its roots to a humble beginning — a small gathering of Muslim families who came together to establish a place of worship in Volusia County. The original masjid became the first permanent home for Muslim activities in our region, serving as a beacon of faith, learning, and community.
From those early days, our community has grown tremendously, but the spirit of unity, dedication, and service that founded the original masjid continues to guide ICDB today. The walls of the original building witnessed countless prayers, Eid celebrations, weddings, and farewells — and laid the foundation for the vibrant community we are now.
