The Islamic Academy of Daytona Beach is an established weekend Islamic school serving the Muslim community of Volusia County. Our mission is to seek the pleasure of Allah (SWT) by preparing our students for success in this life and the Hereafter, nurturing high morals, exemplary character, and a strong Islamic identity.

Registration for the 2026–2027 academic year is open and takes about five minutes. Go straight to the form — the policies below are here whenever you need them.

School Hours & Attendance Policy

For the safety and accountability of every child

Mandatory Sign-In & Sign-Out

Parents or designated legal guardians must personally sign each child in on arrival and sign out before departure. Students are never dismissed unaccompanied. No one under 16 may pick up a child.

Advance Option

Early Drop-Off

8:45 AM · $15/child/day

Must be arranged on the 3rd week of the prior month to take effect the following month.

Standard On-Time

Doors open at 9:45. Escort your child to class and sign the attendance roster. Class begins 10:00 AM.

Tardiness

Tardy Window

10:01 – 10:15 AM

Student is marked tardy. Parents must still sign in; the student quietly joins the morning opening.

Front Desk Required

Parent/guardian must check the student in at the front desk. The student may wait for the next class period.

Dismissal

Sign out every child before exiting. All staff dismiss at 2:15 PM — please collect promptly.

Arrange in writing at morning drop-off. Provide student name, departure time, and authorized guardian.

Late pick-up after 2:15 PM: first time free, then $10 per child per 30 minutes. To report an absence, text the school before 9:15 AM.

Registration Rates & Deadlines

Class size is limited to 15. Current students who don't register by the end of August may be placed on a waiting list and lose their spot. New forms must be completed every year.

9 convenient monthly payments. Tuition is due in full each month regardless of missed days (sick days, holidays). IADB reserves the right to alter the calendar.

Additional Annual Fees (per child)

  • Activity & Supply Fee: $50 per child — covers class materials for the entire year
  • Book Fees: $100 per child — work book use

Financial Aid

Educational Zakat is available for students with financial restrictions. Applications are available on the first day of registration.

Quran

Recitation, memorization, and Tajweed — progressing by level:

  • Level 1 Al-Fatiha & Surahs 110–114
  • Level 2 Al-Fatiha & Surahs 105–109
  • Level 3 Surahs 103–109
  • Level 4 Surahs 99–103
  • Level 5 Surahs 94–99

Arabic

Listening, speaking, reading, and writing — the language of the Quran:

  • Pre-School Basic letters, numbers, words
  • Level 1 Reading & writing words; new phrases
  • Level 2 Advanced sentences
  • Levels 3–5 New vocabulary & beginning grammar

Islamic Studies

Grounded in Tawheed, the Sunnah, and the Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Students learn to correctly perform and understand the acts of worship mandated by Islam.

Books: Islamic Education published by the UAE Islamic Services Foundation, among others.

4. Learner Contract

Goals

  • Improve Arabic reading comprehension: focus on reading, understanding, and summarizing short passages from Quran and Hadeeth educational materials to enhance critical thinking and interpretation skills; set a 10% minimum improvement for the year.
  • Develop Quran memorization skills: commit to review and read the assigned Quran Surah for 5 minutes each day.
  • Participate actively in discussions: prepare and research to engage in class discussions or group activities to develop communication skills, confidence, and the ability to articulate thoughts clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Come ready to learn, dressed for success, with necessary tools, and physically and mentally ready to learn.
  • Complete assigned homework or exercises on time.
  • Maintain punctuality and regular attendance.
  • Respect teachers and classmates through good behavior, polite interaction, and attentiveness.
  • Bring required books, notebooks, pens, and other learning aids.
  • Review what was learned after class and identify areas for improvement or further study.

Registration Timing

After the first day of Sunday School — $100 family + $50 per child

Paying in person

Cash and check payments must be paid in person at the front desk. Please include the parent/guardian last name and the name of each student with your payment so we can match it to this registration.

Requesting Educational Zakat

Educational Zakat is available for students with financial restrictions. Applications are available on the first day of registration.

Choosing this option tells the school that you intend to apply. We will be in touch after you submit this form to review your request and agree an arrangement with you — your child’s place is not confirmed until then. If you have questions, call the office at (386) 252-3501.

What you will owe today

  • Family registration fee: $100.00 — one per family.
  • Per-child registration fee: After the first day of Sunday School — $50.00 per child.
  • First month’s tuition: first child $100.00, second child $70.00, third child $50.00, each additional child $50.00.
  • Amount due today = family registration fee + per-child registration fees + first month’s tuition.

Tuition is billed over nine monthly payments. Sibling discounts are already included in the rates above.
